I was having diner with a couple friends and I was asked by one of them “did you do any kind of work today”.  My first response was to smile and shake my head.  My first job and love is to care for my two amazing kids and when I am not running to basketball games, tutors, horseback riding, football, guitar lesson, volunteering at pizza lunch, I try to squeeze in a little time to run design, produce, and market Ruby Wow.  Self admittedly I am not much of a homemaker, life in my home can be chaotic at times, but my husband is very patient and is learning to live in chaos.  I am truly amazed that a woman of my generation does not value the work of a stay at home mom.    I am secure in my own skin and don’t feel the need to justify my choices of enjoying and supporting my children as they grown.

Smile and shake my head, and I am ok with that.
